1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using AwakeLoom ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.

2. Service Description

AwakeLoom is an iOS application that allows you to record voice memos upon waking, automatically transcribes them using on-device speech recognition, and stores them in your private iCloud account. The App is designed to capture your first thought of the day with a simple, focused experience.

3. Requirements

To use AwakeLoom, you need:

  • An iPhone running iOS 17.0 or later
  • An active iCloud account for data sync
  • Microphone access permission
  • Speech recognition permission

4. User Responsibilities

As a user of AwakeLoom, you agree to:

  • Use the App in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Not use the App for any unlawful or prohibited purpose
  • Maintain the security of your Apple ID and iCloud credentials
  • Accept responsibility for the content you record

5. Intellectual Property

The App and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by tknzk and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the App.

6. Content Ownership

You retain full ownership of your voice recordings and transcriptions created with AwakeLoom. Your content is stored in your private iCloud account and is processed locally on your device. We do not claim any rights to your content.

7. In-App Purchases

AwakeLoom offers a Pro upgrade as a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase. This purchase unlocks unlimited history access. Free users can view the past 14 days of history. All purchases are processed through Apple's App Store and are subject to Apple's terms and conditions. Purchases can be restored on any device signed in with the same Apple ID.

8. Warranty Disclaimer

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that speech recognition will be 100% accurate.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, tknzk shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, arising out of or related to your use of the App.

10. Third-Party Services

AwakeLoom uses the following Apple services, which are subject to their own terms:

  • iCloud and CloudKit for data synchronization
  • Speech framework for on-device transcription
  • AVFoundation for audio recording and playback

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

12. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the App for users who violate these terms.
